Who is Myrna Bain?

The Myrna Bain Scholarship at John Jay College was created in memory of Professor Myrna Dolores Ilari Bain’s life long contribution to academic scholarship and community development. A scholarship in the amount of $1200 will be awarded each semester to study abroad. The award will be presented to the undergraduate whose work best reflects the spirit of the teachings of Myrna Dolores Ilari Bain.Professor Bain passed away in 2007 from breast cancer. We are trying to keep her spirit and legacy alive within the college community.
