She performs and tours nationally with her talented band for the last 10 years and is releasing her 8th single and EP “Forever Young” in 2020. \n\n\n\nBriar has performed and opened for numerous national acts like the Marshall Tucker band\, BlackBerry Smoke\, Chris Janson\, Parmalee\, Lindsey Ell\, Jerrod Niemann\, Lorrie Morgan\, Rodney Atkins\, Granger Smith\, Chase Bryant\, Lee Brice\, Big Country\, Keifer Sutherland\, Locash\, Outshyne\, Blackjack Billy\, the Outlaws\, and Cassadee Pope. \n\n\n\nBio \n\n\n\nNikki Briar\, born Nicole Signorella on May 23rd has truly been passionately involved with music her entire life. Her father\, Joseph\, made his living as a touring drummer for a Motown band called the Victorians\, while mother Oksana\, was a classically trained pianist and artist. From a very young age\, Briar was influenced and connected best with artists such as Frank Sinatra and Whitney Houston. Her parents say that the way she learned to speak was by memorizing and singing along to her favorite songs on her record player. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA young Briar took part in every performing event that she could\, singing in the choir and becoming the first female drummer in her middle school. In sixth grade\, she started learning to play the guitar from her uncle\, Anthony Signorella. Briar went to Arthur L. Johnson for her regular high school experience in Clark\, NJ. She also attended the Gifted and Talented program at a votech school where she participating in the highly praised musical theater department. She then went on to graduate from Seton Hall University with a degree in Special and Elementary Education\, minoring in Music for voice and guitar. Since graduating\, Nikki Briar has been teaching music to young children at the New Jersey Workshop of the Arts and currently attends Graduate School of Seton Hall University. She sings at events for the New Jersey National Guard and is a proud Army wife. \n\n\n\nWhen asked why she decided to pursue a career in country music\, Briar simply said: “I love the passion and the truth in country music. I love the story songs that can either make you laugh hysterically or bring you to tears. After all\, music is about emotion\, and I want my audience to feel something when they hear me sing.” \n\n\n\nNikki Briar currently resides in New Jersey with husband Angelo Martinez who is her inspiration and number one fan. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nCranford Summer Sounds \n\n\n\nWhether you arrive by car\, walking or the 3 minute away Cranford NJ Transit Station\, this is a walkable town with lots of businesses to see and enjoy and is a very convenient place to enjoy some live live music. \n\n\n\nWalk across the street\, grab a bite from a local restaurant\, settle in to your favorite lawn chair or arrive early and grab a yellow park seat for these special evening concerts in downtown Cranford. The Star Ledger proclaims that “Her voice reaches deep into one’s soul and finds a soft spot” She performs Jazz\, R&B\, Gospel\, Soul and Pop music throughout the tri-state area. Theater credits include principal roles in: Dream Girls\, Smokey Joes Café\, Ragtime\, Swing\, Aida\, and an encore performance as Lena Younger Mama in Lorraine Hansberry’s A Raisin in the Sun. She has received countless awards and recognition for her musical service work with children\, the elderly and veterans. She is a founding member of the Guiding Stars\, a Medical Missions group of professional performers who volunteer to entertain veterans and children. Like a river\, it’s unpredictable and never flows the same way twice. It is an ever evolving\, thought provoking\, limitless musical experience that will elevate your mind\, body & soul and make you shake your behind all at the same time. MPack is the musical brainchild of bassist\, guitarist\, keyboardist\, drummer and vocalist Clarence ‘Groove Master’ Conover. He’s the founder\, leader\, and vocalist of the Clarence Conover Project\, the MPack Band and the founder and CEO of M-Pack Music productions whose motto is “Life Changing Sounds”. He released his first CD “My Time” in 2014. In his formative years\, his musical influences included Herbie Hancock\, Grover Washington\, Phyllis Hyman\, Luther Vandross and Prince\, just to name a few. MPack is the musical brainchild of bassist\, guitarist\, keyboardist\, drummer and vocalist Clarence ‘Groove Master’ Conover. Norman has been quoted as saying\, “Rafiki is a Swahili word that translates to English as ‘friend.’” So now\, let’s meet the friends in the band. \n\n\n\nNorman Mann — Bandleader — Percussionist\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNorman Mann\, an alumni and Football Hall of Famer of Weequahic High School is widely respected within the community and was honored to perform at the East Orange Library’s tribute to Amiri Baraka. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNorman\, along with Greg Salandis\, are widely known for their past partnership at Skippers Plane Street Pub in November 2007. Skippers was a very popular spot in Newark located on University Ave and was a welcomed addition to Newark’s nightlife. It was a place where music\, food\, drink\, and conversation were the rage and occurred in a comfortable\, friendly environment. Skippers featured many of the Tri-State’s musicians and singers. Norman Mann\, as a musician\, plays congas\, percussion and also sings. SUMMARY:Lance Bryant & Shout! Big Band at Clements Place
DESCRIPTION:This full sixteen piece big band performs compositions and arrangements by Lance and occasionally arrangements of his colleagues. Lance has been arranging for other artists and bands for over twenty five years\, starting with the Lionel Hampton Orchestra. “Lionel Hampton always encouraged me to keep writing\,” Lance says of the iconic Jazz legend. “I found that when commissioned to write for artists or band leaders there was often some level of restrictions or parameters to adhere to.” That was until Lance was commissioned to write a program of arrangements to be performed live by vocalist Carla Cook and the NDR Big Band in Hamburg\, Germany in 2002. Given ample freedom to create by Carla\, Lance wrote nine arrangements forr the program. “I was so pleased with the results\, I never forgot that feeling.” In the Spring of 2022 Lance finally decided to start his own band. “For me there’s nothing like that range of power and expression we can achieve with sixteen great musicians. Not to mention the sense of community and family that we enjoy working as a big band.”
