Now you can find her featured in many live bands throughout the tri-state area such as “The Warehouse Collective”\,  “Bro’s 2+2\,” “Epic Soul” and the “Yacht Rock Gold Experience”. She’s been seen in Off-Broadway\, Regional\, and International Productions around the World. Countries have included the United Kingdom\, Switzerland\, Japan\, France\, Taiwan and more. The series has presented established artists and rising stars with several ensembles going on to receive national acclaim. Carroll was understudy to Clifton Davis in the Broadway play “Two Gentlemen of Verona”. His vocal collaborations include McCoy Tyner’s “Inner Voices”\, Pharoah Sanders’\, “Rejoice” and Idris Muhammad’s\, “You Ain’t No Friend of Mine”. \n\n\n\nCarroll completed national and international tours with Tony Williams and the Platters and toured Italy and China as a featured singer and soloist with the Brooklyn Interdenominational Choir. Born in Pittsburgh\, Humphries began playing drums at age four and was performing professionally by fourteen. At just twenty\, he joined Silver’s quintet\, contributing his powerful\, swinging touch to the 1964 Blue Note session that produced Song for My Father\, Cape Verdean Blues\, and The Jody Grind. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHis career spans collaborations with jazz greats like Ray Charles\, Dizzy Gillespie\, Joe Henderson\, and Nancy Wilson\, and includes performances at the Monterey and Newport Jazz Festivals\, the Apollo Theater\, and venues across Europe. Now a rising force in jazz\, Marel blends straight-ahead swing with Caribbean rhythms\, drawing inspiration from legends like Pat Martino\, Joe Pass\, and Ernest Ranglin. \n\n\n\nHe’s performed at prestigious venues including Jazz at Lincoln Center\, the Exit Zero Jazz Festival\, Bryant Park\, and Sunside Jazz Club in Paris\, and has collaborated with artists such as Billy Hart\, Roger Humphries\, Radam Schwartz\, and Pat Bianchi. Mentored by Steve Ash and encouraged by legends like Dr. Lonnie Smith\, she quickly emerged as a rising star\, recording her debut album Debut with NEA Jazz Master Jimmy Cobb and engineer Rudy Van Gelder. \n\n\n\nHer accolades include the Hot House Magazine Fan Decision Award and the New Jersey Governor’s Award for Exceptional Promise in Music\, and she’s performed at Birdland\, Shanghai Jazz\, and Union County Performing Arts Center.
