Sofia Carrasco herself is a tenor saxophonist and visual artist from Arequipa\, Peru\, known for her honest and expressive interpretations. You can explore her music\, including her latest album Alma Escondida. \n\n\nRegister on Eventbrite\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSofia’s art is a personal exploration of what genuinely intrigues her about the human experience. Each piece reflects her fascination with people—their uniqueness\, bodies\, movements\, fears\, hate\, love\, and the varied ways they navigate life within society. While formally trained in classical saxophone\, Sofia delved into the worlds of jazz and traditional Peruvian music. Having completed production and composition courses at Berklee College of Music and a master’s in Jazz Performance at New Jersey City University\, Sofia brings a unique blend of jazz and Peruvian influences to her work.
