His  full\, warm signature sound and improvisational mastery reflect his formative years touring with seminal giants  of organ jazz\, especially Trudy Pitts\, Richard “Groove” Holmes & Sonny Stitt\, Jimmy McGriff & Hank Crawford\,  and Charles Earland. Bob has also performed/recorded with a Who’s Who In Jazz including Joey DeFrancesco\,  Dr. Lonnie Smith\, Mike LeDonne\, Eric Alexander\, Gerry Niewood’s Timepiece w/Dave Samuels\, Stanley  Turrentine\, Teo Macero\, Irene Reid\, Houston Person\, David “Fathead” Newman—and “Screaming” Jay Hawkins.  Bob’s compositions have been recognized by the NJ State Council on the Arts. A sought-after teacher\, he is past  faculty at William Paterson and Lehigh Universities. His several CDs as a leader hit JazzWeek’s Top Five Chart.  \n\n\n\nRichie Morales NYC-born\, DMZ’s highly acclaimed\, highly versatile drummer Richie Morales has enjoyed a  long career spanning diverse jazz styles. Morales’ impressive credits include the seminal jazz-fusion of The  Brecker Brothers\, the Latin jazz of Gato Barbieri\, Ray Barretto\, and Dave Valentin plus–most recently–touring  with guitar great Al Di Meola. He has performed and recorded with contemporary jazz artists including Spyro  Gyra\, Grover Washington Jr.\, Michael Franks\, Mike Stern\, saxophonist Bill Evans\, as well as Diane Reeves\, Stevie  Wonder\, Carly Simon\, George Russell’s Living Time Orchestra\, and Herbie Mann. Morales’ outstanding playing  on Gato Barbieri’s Shadow of the Cat contributed to the album winning Billboard’s Best Latin Jazz Album of The  Year and receiving a Latin Grammy nomination. Richie was on the faculty at Purchase College Conservatory of  Music SUNY for 25 years and taught in the Juilliard School’s Music Advancement Program.  \n\n\n\nJerry Z commands the Hammond B-3 organ with soulful grooves\, fiery solos and his innovative approach to  jazz\, blues and funk. Hitting the New York City music scene in the 1990s\, Jerry Z fast became an in-demand  collaborator\, bringing his explosive Hammond sound to many influential and groundbreaking bands in and out  of the city. His extensive recording and performance credits include collaborations with guitar wizard Oz Noy\,  legendary drummers Mike Clark and Lenny White\, soul jazz pioneer Melvin Sparks\, blues great Delbert  McClinton\, and The Headhunters. Jerry’s musical versatility\, expansive range and innovative drive shine through  his performances with Hiram Bullock\, Mark Whitfield\, Donald Harrison\, Bernard Purdy\, and many\, many others.

Free open to all. \n  \nThis fusion of Jesus and Jazz is sure to uplift your spirits and leave you feeling inspired. \n \nWayne Winborne Wayne Winborne is the Executive Director of the Institute of Jazz Studies (IJS) at Rutgers University-Newark. The IJS is the largest and most comprehensive archive of jazz-related materials in the world. Winborne is also an assistant professor in the Arts\, Culture\, and Media department at Rutgers\, where he frequently presents on topics like jazz\, art\, culture\, democracy\, and racial reckoning. Beyond his academic contributions\, Winborne has produced recordings for labels like MaxJazz and HighNote\, written and produced documentaries\, and received awards for his work in promoting diversity and cultural understanding3. His leadership at the IJS continues to preserve and celebrate jazz as an essential American art form through his proprietorship of his extremely well known club\, Clements Place..   \n \nRichard Clements is a talented pianist based in New York City. Originally from Cleveland\, Ohio\, he studied music at Sacramento State University before moving to NYC in 1981. Over the years\, he’s collaborated with renowned artists like Clifford Jordan\, Abbey Lincoln\, and Ricky Ford. He recently performed a solo piano concert at Marcus Garvey Park\, celebrating Black History Month. You can also catch him at venues like the 11th Street Bar.  \n  \n \nRudy Walker is a talented jazz drummer based in New Jersey. His career spans over 30 years\, during which he has performed\, recorded\, and taught extensively. Known for his dynamic and powerful drumming style\, he has collaborated with notable musicians like Sir Roland Hanna\, Walter Davis Jr.\, and Sonny Fortune. Rudy’s passion for music began at a young age\, and he has also explored West African rhythms\, performing with groups like the Chuck Davis Dance Company. Beyond his performances\, he is actively involved in music education and community outreach in the New Jersey and New York area. \n \nBelden Bullock is a renowned jazz bassist known for his exceptional talent and versatility. Born in Boston\, Massachusetts\, he initially played bass guitar before transitioning to the double bass in the 1970s. He studied at Berklee College of Music and has collaborated with legendary artists like George Adams\, Roy Haynes\, and Ahmad Jamal. Belden has been part of various ensembles\, including Ralph Peterson Jr.’s Fo’Tet and the Spirit of Life Ensemble. His work spans traditional jazz and experimental styles\, showcasing his ability to adapt and innovate. \n  \n \nLongtime McCoy Tyner saxophonist Joe Ford is an accomplished musician  originally from Buffalo\, New York\, but his influence extends far beyond. He studied under notable musicians like Jackie McLean and Frank Foster\, earning a degree in music education from Central State University. Ford has also collaborated with jazz legends such as Sam Jones\, and Abdullah Ibrahim\, showcasing his mastery of both soprano and alto saxophones. In addition to his work as a sideman\, Joe Ford has led ensembles like the Black Art Sax Quartet and released his own album\, Today’s Night\, which blends straight-ahead jazz with touches of blues and contemporary styles. His music reflects a rich tapestry of influences\, including funk\, gospel\, classical\, and avant-garde jazz.
