DESCRIPTION:Lynette Sheard Experience\n\n\n\nJoining Lynette Sheard will be Pianist Brandon McCune on Keys\, Chris Berger on Bass\, Noel Sagerman on Drums – Monet Sheard – Live Art Drawing \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLynette Sheard is a gifted versatile vocalist with a five octave range. She is an actor\, producer and director. She is the unseated “West Orange Idol”. Her performances have been acknowledged in numerous publications including the New York Times\, The Record and the Chronicle. The Star Ledger proclaims that “Her voice reaches deep into one’s soul and finds a soft spot” She performs Jazz\, R&B\, Gospel\, Soul and Pop music throughout the tri-state area. Theater credits include principal roles in: Dream Girls\, Smokey Joes Café\, Ragtime\, Swing\, Aida\, and an encore performance as Lena Younger Mama in Lorraine Hansberry’s A Raisin in the Sun. She has received countless awards and recognition for her musical service work with children\, the elderly and veterans. She is a founding member of the Guiding Stars\, a Medical Missions group of professional performers who volunteer to entertain veterans and children. Her performances have raised thousands for Hurricane Katrina Survivors\, Haitian Relief efforts\, The Red Cross and numerous other local charities. \n\n\n\nLynette Sheard is also the Director of the Mental Health Association in New Jersey’s New Jersey Mental Health Players\, a highly successful\, interactive community education program\, winner of the 2021 national Richard Van Horn Innovation in Programming Award from Mental Health America. \n\n\n\nCranford Summer Sounds\n\n\n\nWhether you arrive by car\, walking or the 3 minute away Cranford NJ Transit Station\, this is a walkable town with lots of businesses to see and enjoy and is a very convenient place to enjoy some live live music. \n\n\n\nWalk across the street\, grab a bite from a local restaurant\, settle in to your favorite lawn chair or arrive early and grab a yellow park seat for these special evening concerts in downtown Cranford. Every Thursday thanks to the Downtown Cranford Organization the streets of Cranford come alive with a different sound from the areas local artists curated and produced by Gregory Burrus Productions.
