Cranford Summer Sounds featuring Jersey Swamp Cats
The Jersey Swamp Cats are a lively quartet from New Jersey, known for their energetic blend of blues, New Orleans R&B, early rock ‘n’ roll, rockabilly, and jump blues. Their music is a mix of creative, swampy renditions of classics by legends like Fats Domino, Albert Collins, and Professor Longhair, along with original tracks that showcase their unique style.
The band features Gerry Gladston on piano, Don Leich on guitar, Chris Reardon on drums, and Larry Ghiorsi on bass. Their debut album, Go Cat Go, released in 2019, includes both covers and original songs, such as “Cupcake” and “Shiny Gray Corvette,” which highlight their playful and retro sound. They also incorporate elements of New Orleans jazz and blues, with guest horn players adding a vibrant touch to their performances.
