Orange Platform Shoes, Green Leather Coat w White Fur Collar and you were digging the scene in the matching Diamond in the Back Sunroof Top, Green and White Thunderbird that you leaned so far over no one knew if you driving. Well this is an EXTRAS CASTING CALL FOR BETTY & BLUE, a short film by COLE SWANSON. Producers Dane Clarke II ​and Joel Poku are producing a short film called “Betty & Blue” which is a Harlem story that will inspire the next generation of black intellects and jazz listeners. On Monday March 13th they will be shooting inside @SOPAC and they are looking for locals to come be extras in the concert hall.

Logline; a Black musician, now in the later stages of his life, harks back to the magical moments in his childhood, career, and his relationship with his father who introduced him to his first true love: his trumpet named Betty. Betty & Blue is partially a period piece taking place when cats used to light up a cig, sip whiskey on the rocks, chat up a woman at the bar, then play their heart out on stage… in 60s / 70s Harlem.

– 3X Emmy Winner Keith David is attached as lead/ narrator

– Composer attached is Isaiah J Thompson, whose work has been Golden Globe nominated

– Amari Cheatom (Judas and the Black Messiah, Detroit, Django Unchained, Roman J. Israel, Esq) is attached as supporting role

– The Director is Cole Swanson who is starting to gain attention in Hollywood since becoming a Converse All Star

– Harold O’Neal (Consultant for Pixar’s Soul) is an Executive Producer.
