Cranford 2026 Summer Sounds

Cranford’s 2026 Summer Sounds Tuesdays & Thursdays Series, curated by Gregory Burrus Productions since 2022, marks a major evolution in the town’s beloved live‑music tradition. For the first time, the series expands beyond Thursdays to include Summer Sounds Tuesdays, doubling the weekly rhythm at the Downtown Cranford Clock Plaza. This season‑long celebration brings neighbors, families, and music lovers together for free outdoor performances spanning soul, jazz, funk, blues, indie, country, and more. The plaza becomes a vibrant gathering space where Cranford reconnects, unwinds, and enjoys the soundtrack of summer under the open sky. Cranford Summer Sounds.

This year also introduces a powerful new cultural anchor: Second Tuesdays are now Jazz Tuesdays, presented in partnership with the NJPAC Community Engagement Jazz Advisory Council and the Rutgers Institute of Jazz Studies Outreach Program. And on Tuesday, July 14, the incomparable Lynette Sheard headlines a special Jazz Tuesday performance that also serves as the official kickoff for the 24 Hours of Music Jamboree, launching a week of music across the region. Alongside her, the season features standout artists like Michael Craig Band & Jessica, Mama D & The Vexations, MPack, Burnside Manor, Forget The Whale, and more. With live music every Tuesday and Thursday from 6–9 PM, the 2026 Summer Sounds Series delivers a season of rhythm, community spirit, and multi‑genre artistry curated with vision and heart.
