Mexican Reggae

Nedelka Sotelo is originally from Mexico City. Actress and singer who’s been in the reggae scene starting in Mexico since 2014 participating in important festivals and collaborating with several bands of “El Nuevo Reggae Mexicano”.

Inspired by the music of masters of Jamaican reggae (Bob Marley, Gregory Isaacs, Peter Tosh) and Latin reggae (Cultura Profética, Nonpalidece, Los Cafres) she’s finding a fusion between the old and new sounds of traditional and modern reggae and also adding her own Mexican folclore, prehispanic instruments and different styles of sounds she’s been influenced by.

Nedelka leads this project on vocals collaborating with extraordinary musicians on bass, guitar and keyboards/vibraphone and drums/percussion.
