Hailed by The NY Times as “one of the best pianists in town, period,” acclaimed pianist Bruce Barth comes to Clement’s for the first time with his trio.

Free Concert. Open to the Public.

For more than three decades, pianist and composer Bruce Barth has stood among the most respected voices in modern jazz. A deeply swinging player with a warm, harmonically rich touch, Barth has appeared on over 125 recordings, including a dozen acclaimed albums as a leader. His artistry has taken him across the globe, performing with legends such as Terence Blanchard, Tony Bennett, Phil Woods, Steve Wilson, and Luciana Souza, while his own groups have earned praise for their lyrical depth and soulful sophistication.

A longtime educator and mentor, Barth has shaped generations of rising musicians through his work at Temple University, Manhattan School of Music, and workshops worldwide. Whether in an intimate trio setting or driving a hard‑swinging ensemble, Barth brings clarity, emotional honesty, and a master craftsman’s touch to every performance. On April 3, he brings that signature blend of elegance and fire to Rutgers IJS.
