Sunday Gazebo Jazz: Coo Moe Jhee – CMJ Jazz Band with Vocalist Wilma Ann – MC Billy Prest
August 9 @ 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm EDT
CMJ Jazz Band

The CMJ Jazz Band — the creative Freehold/Toms River ensemble led by bassist Coo Moe Jhee and powered by G‑Shaw Thegardenstategreat, Music Director Joe Lisa, Peter Rushing, and Justin Vedovelli — has built a reputation for blending Traditional Jazz, Smooth Jazz, and Hip Hop into a lively, community‑rooted sound. Their performances carry the unmistakable spirit of New Jersey: warm, rhythmic, and always ready to move a crowd.

Vocalist Wilma Ann
This Sunday Gazebo Jazz Session marks a special moment as CMJ and vocalist Wilma Ann come together for the first time. Known for her soulful tone and expressive stage presence, Wilma brings an international dimension to the collaboration. Her artistic journey has taken her across borders — including a standout appearance on The Voice Spain — and her work reflects a blend of global stages, cross‑cultural influences, and a growing international reach.

Wilma Ann is also an artist supported through the Gregory Burrus Productions Artists Abroad Program, a platform dedicated to helping New Jersey talent expand into worldwide opportunities. Her involvement in the program highlights a rising trajectory that aligns beautifully with CMJ’s creative energy. (Wilma Ann Official)

As these two forces meet for the first time, CMJ’s homegrown jazz fusion and Wilma Ann’s international artistry create a fresh, exciting combination. It’s a new chapter built on tradition, global experience, and the shared desire to bring audiences something vibrant and unexpected.
A Jersey‑born band and a globally seasoned vocalist — coming together to shape something new.
