Gregory Burrus, former roles as a Business Process Consultant and Telecommunications Director consisted of traveling worldwide, being involved in numerous meetings and presentations while solving many last-minute computer and business process solutions. Managing multiple projects while traveling under pressure prepared Gregory well for his transition to handling the complexities associated with the handling of multiple live music events.
Gregory Burrus sits on a number of local boards, committees and currently serves as a Maplewood Community Music Board Member, Maplewood Civics‘ 4th of July Live Music Coordinator and was North Jersey Blues Alliance VP. He curates Newark’s Rutgers’ Jazz973 at Clements Live Music Series and for his efforts was selected as the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) March 2018 Community Champion. Gregory also sits on Stevenson Moses Boxing for Life Advisory Council and the John Jay College Myrna Bain Scholarship Fundraiser Advisory Team. Greg is also the Orange NJ ValleyArts Music Program Coordinator.
Here, Gregory Burrus is our local live music ambassador and community partner that curates, manages, promotes and documents our South Orange Downtown After Sundown Live Music Concerts, the South Orange 24 Hours of Music Festival, the South Orange Farmers Market Jazz Jam including curating performers for the SOPAC South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) Playing Around South Orange Pianos Project along with booking bands at many other local venues.
