Sidewalk Summer Shopping

Summer Saturdays continue in downtown South Orange with sales, outdoor dining and live music! South Orange retailers will be outside on the sidewalks offering an expanded footprint for easier, socially distanced shopping and some merchants will be offering in store specials.

In addition for your listening pleasure there will be live music in the late afternoon and dining music during the evening hours.
Richard Reiter 3:30 – 5:30 PM

Royal Stokes–The Washington Post Richard Reiter, an Emmy Award winning composer, has performed as guest jazz saxophone soloist with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, featured artist on PBS television, on-stage clarinet soloist in Bob Fosse’s Broadway musical “Dancin’,” and backup for such notables as Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Johnny Mathis and Nancy Wilson.
Radam Schwartz 6:30 – 9:30 PM

Radam Schwartz Band – Radam Schwartz, Jazz Organist and pianist, has built his reputation over the last 40 years playing with such great musicians as Arthur and Red Prysock, Eddie Lockjaw Davis, Al Hibler, David Fathead Newman, Jimmy Ford, Tommy Gryce, Cecil Brooks III. He continues to make music history today playing with renowned artists Russell Malone, the Spirit of Life Ensemble, TK Blue, Conrad Herwig, Iron City Organ Ensemble and many others. Radam is also a jazz educator for many years, formerly as music director at the Jazz Institute of New Jersey (for 20 years), artist-in-residence at Middlesex County Arts program (for 25 years), and an instructor at Jazz House Kids in Montclair NJwhere he teaches jazz improv and directs several ensembles (his advanced ensemble won first place in the 2012 Charles Mingus Competition), and the Jazz Academy at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, NJ. He currently is the director of the Rutgers-Newark Mosaic Jazz Ensemble as well.
